Mr Perfect - a Tiago Delgado fanmix

I'm in a fanmix-making mood again. Today we start with Felix Felicis' own Prince Charming (or, thanks to [info]fuckyeahbadgers, Mr Perfect).

Warning: Only three songs are in English, but trust me when I say the lyrics in most of these are absolutely fitting. They're also the sort of songs Tiago would play on his radio show - dedicated to a certain fairytale princess, perhaps?

When the perfect Miles/Tibbles song suddenly dawns on you, it's a sign that your brain...
a) is awesome
b) is weird
c) needs a rest
d) all of the above

Charming - a Gilderoy Lockhart fanmix

I need a bit of a pick-me-up/cheer-me-up... and what's better than a mix dedicated to one of my favourite characters?

I had already picked up most of the songs ages ago (for a fanmix meme at Fourteen Shades that never went through), but with another song suddenly popping into my head I figured it was better to update it and share it with the rest of you. Enjoy!

Ain't he pretty? )

Badger Love - a Jamie/Lucy fanmix

So what do I do when I really need to catch up on my RP games? Why, I browse through YouTube making fanmixes, of course. *facepalm*

Still, I rather like how this one turned out. Dedicated to [info]fuckyeahbadgers, it's the soundtrack to the adorable-yet-doomed love between Jamie Huggins, a pot-smoking ex-Wandless, and Lucy Yaxley, a Death Eater's daughter. I just feel like cuddling them - right before hitting them on the head and telling them (especially Jamie) to stop being idiots.

Albatross - a Luna Lovegood fanmix

Today at [info]caged, Luna was kidnapped and taken to Malfoy Manor. To celebrate it (if "celebrate" is the right word for the occasion), I've decided to make a fanmix. To listen to the songs, click on the little hearts, which will take you to YouTube.

I also left a treat in this mix for the FTS folks, as one of the songs is my theme for Luna/Rolf. If you're familiar with my Rolf, I'm sure you'll immediately figure out which one it is. :D

I've had I Like Chopin playing non-stop inside my brain for some 24 hours now.

Thanks a lot, dad.

Answers to the lyrics meme.

One thing I've learned recently and which was confirmed to me this past week: no matter how crappy things are, How I Met Your Mother makes it all better. Especially when Barney's business moves imply waging war against Portugal and spiking the drinking water in Lisbon, because that would explain a lot about my country.

I'm rereading the HP books in order to refresh my memory (I'm always checking HP Lexicon and the Wiki page, but that's not the same thing), and I forgot how doing so when I'm immersed in a game changes the way I see the story - and I do mean "see", as I tend to watch what I read playing in my head like a movie, which I guess explains why I'm always studying my characters' PBs. I'm currently halfway through CoS (GILDIE I MISSED YOU! *fangirls*), and I keep seeing younger versions of the Purgatory sixth-years everywhere.
For instance, when Harry and Ron arrive at Hogwarts and peek to the Great Hall just in time to see Colin Creevey being sorted, I had this mental image of baby!Molly already sitting at the Ravenclaw table, while in the ranks of the yet-unsorted baby!Yue was looking a bit nervous, baby!Declan smiled smugly as he knew he'd end up in Gryffindor, and baby!Cal was more interested in staring at the pretty girls surrounding him than at the actual sorting. There was also baby!Emrys there, who was staring at the hat with an O_O face (I have no idea why). It can be a little disconcerting, but at the same time it's helping me with the way the game fits into the overall canon.

On a different note, last night I was listening to His Orchestra (i.e., one of Declan's PB's bands), and when I got to my personal favourite, Antarctica, it finally dawned on me how much the following lyrics fit so well with Declan's upcoming New Year's "gift" plot:
It was the strangest thing for him
To ever think that one day he was to give himself to her
But for me what was stranger was
The feeling of danger that I felt the moment that it occurred
